Olaf Żylicz, PhD
Dr. hab. Piotr Olaf Żylicz is a distinguished Polish psychologist specializing in moral psychology and business psychology. Born in 1964, he completed his psychology studies at the Academy of Catholic Theology in Warsaw, where he earned his Ph.D. in 1995. In 2012, he obtained his habilitation in social sciences with a focus on psychology from the SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Throughout his career, Dr. Żylicz has held prominent academic positions. He served as a professor at the Warsaw University of Technology Business School, the SWPS University, and the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. Notably, he was the rector of the Warsaw School of Banking (Wyższa Szkoła Bankowa w Warszawie) from 2022 to 2023. Since November 1, 2023, he has been the Vice-Rector for Internationalization at the WSB Merito University in Poznań.
In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Żylicz is a seasoned business coach with nearly two decades of experience, primarily working with senior management. He has collaborated as a consultant with firms such as People Partnering and SMG-KR Human Resources. His expertise extends to training and mentoring, having developed several tools to assess coaching quality. He is also an accredited trainer, coach, mentor, and examiner for Noble Manhattan Coaching across all NMC courses.
Dr. Żylicz has contributed significantly to the field through his publications. His notable works include „Samoaktualizacja a integracja moralna” (Self-Actualization and Moral Integration) published in 1996 and „Psychologia moralności. Wybrane zagadnienia” (Psychology of Morality: Selected Issues) in 2010. More recently, in collaboration with Gil Bozer, he authored a business case study titled „Should I Stay or Should I Go?” published in the Sage Coaching & Mentoring Series in 2021, focusing on coaching in the workplace.
His professional interests encompass ethics, spirituality, leadership, employee development, and societal issues. Dr. Żylicz continues to influence both academic and business communities through his research, teaching, and coaching endeavors.
